Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Cancellation Policy

Quotes totalling £500 or more require a 30% advance deposit to secure the booking date and initiate scheduling and preparation.

  • Cancellations with more than 48 hours' notice: The deposit is non-refundable as a pre-estimate of administrative overhead and lost business opportunities from holding the date. However, at our discretion, the deposit may be transferred to a rescheduled booking date within a 3-month window.

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of job start: The deposit is strictly non-refundable and forfeited to cover immediate losses, allocated labour, and unrecoverable prep work.

  • Cancellations by us: If we need to cancel the booking for reasons within our control and cannot reschedule, a full refund of the deposit will be issued within 7 days.

2. Payment Terms

  • Due Date: Payment is due within 24 hours of job completion, payable via bank transfer (BACS) to the account details provided on the invoice, unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing prior to commencement.

  • Large or Multi-Day Projects: For larger projects spanning multiple days, we reserve the right to request interim stage payments, which will be outlined in the quotation.

  • Late Payments: We reserve the right to charge statutory interest and debt recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (for business clients) or reasonable administrative fees for delayed domestic payments if invoices remain outstanding past the agreed 24-hour window.

  • Disputed Invoices: If any part of an invoice is legitimately disputed, the customer must pay the undisputed portion within the standard timeframe while the dispute is investigated.

3. Water and Utilities

  • Water Supply: The customer must ensure a continuous, functioning outdoor water supply is accessible on-site at no cost to us for the duration of the works. If a clean water supply is unavailable upon arrival or interrupted during the job, preventing completion, an aborted-visit, additional waiting time, or inconvenience charge may be incurred.

  • Power Supply (Residential): While our operations are primarily self-sufficient using generator power and petrol-driven equipment, access to a standard domestic power source may occasionally be required.

  • Power Supply (Commercial): For commercial properties where power is unavailable on-site, we will source and organise temporary power generation (such as auxiliary generator rental) to complete the works. Any such arrangements and associated costs will be clearly itemised and agreed upon within the quotation prior to commencement.

4. Site Access, Obstructions, and Property Handling

  • Customer Responsibilities: Customers are responsible for ensuring the work area is clear of vehicles, patio furniture, fragile items, and pets prior to our arrival. Commercial clients must ensure site inductions and access permits are complete. Customers are strictly responsible for notifying adjacent properties and neighbours in good time prior to work commencing, particularly if neighbouring vehicles or outdoor items are located near boundary lines and could be affected by overspray, run-off, or debris.

  • Item Relocation & Risk: If agreed upon in advance, we may assist with moving items such as outdoor furniture, planters, or vehicles. Any such assistance is provided strictly at the customer's own risk. We accept no liability whatsoever for any loss or accidental damage caused to vehicles, expensive or exotic furniture, planters, fragile items, or personal property during relocation or as a result of operating within the work zone. Property owners or drivers remain entirely responsible for safeguarding their high-value or delicate items.

  • Neighbouring Coordination: While we may make a courtesy attempt to contact neighbours on the day of the job to request the movement of adjacent vehicles or items, we accept no responsibility or liability for failing to contact them, nor for any overspray, chemical run-off, or accidental damage caused to neighbouring property. All responsibility for boundary coordination and safeguarding adjacent items remains with the customer.

  • Access Delays: If we are delayed or unable to commence work due to restricted access or uncleared areas not covered by a pre-arranged relocation agreement, additional waiting time charges will apply:

  • Residential: £50 per hour, per staff member.

  • Commercial: £100 per hour, per staff member.

5. Pre-Existing Damage and Surface Condition

All exterior cleaning, pressure washing, softwashing, and restoration work is undertaken on the strict understanding that the property and its surfaces are in a sound, stable condition capable of withstanding standard cleaning methods.

  • Pre-Existing Defects & Roof Cleaning: Roof cleaning in particular involves working on elevated surfaces where hidden vulnerabilities are common. We accept no liability for damage caused to pre-existing structural weaknesses, fragile materials, loose mortar, cracked or broken tiles, degraded or torn flashing, defective rendering, rotten timber, unsealed gaps, or wear-and-tear that may be exposed, destabilised, or worsened during the cleaning process—including instances of water ingress or leaks (such as water entering a kitchen or loft space) resulting from an old or compromised roof structure.

  • Intensive Cleaning Disclaimer: Exterior cleaning methods can be intensive. If you have any concerns regarding the age, structural integrity, or condition of your surfaces (particularly roofs), you must explicitly mention this to us beforehand and ask about potential lower-pressure or alternative methods.

  • Inspection and Assessment: While we make every effort to inspect the site and advise you on the safest and most effective solution prior to commencement, it is often impossible to fully identify underlying vulnerabilities until cleaning begins.

  • Prior Disclosure & Site Prep: Customers must notify us in advance of any delicate, sensitive, or damaged areas within the work zone, including non-standard building materials, fragile seals, or vulnerable wiring. Customers are also responsible for ensuring all windows, doors, and vents are securely closed.

6. Results and Expectations

While we use industry-standard methods, professional equipment, and specialised products to achieve the highest possible standard of cleanliness, exterior cleaning cannot reverse decades of natural weathering, UV degradation, and wear.

  • Surface Texture and Colour: We are not responsible for the final appearance, texture, or colour of a surface once cleaning is complete. Over time, materials such as concrete roof tiles, block paving, and stonework lose their original factory coatings, pigments, and smooth finishes due to age and exposure to the elements. For example, a roof that has not been cleaned in many years may have faded, porous, or rough underlying material that was previously masked by organic growth (such as moss, lichen, and algae). Cleaning removes the organic matter, but it cannot restore original factory paint, vibrant original colours, or manufacturing seals that have worn away over time.

  • Stubborn Staining: While we aim for the best possible results, 100% removal of deeply ingrained stains, oil spots, rust, or mineral deposits cannot always be guaranteed without causing structural damage to the underlying substrate.

7. Warranties and Guarantees

We do not offer warranties or guarantees on our cleaning or restoration services. Due to the variable nature of exterior surfaces, weather exposure, and environmental factors beyond our control, it is not possible to guarantee cleaning results or how long those results will last.

  • Cleaning and Longevity: Exterior surfaces are continually exposed to the elements, seasonal changes, and local conditions (such as overhanging trees, shade, and moisture). While we always apply our expertise and best practices to achieve a high standard, we cannot guarantee protection against the natural return of organic growth, weeds, moss, algae, or weathering.

  • Restoration and Remedial Work: When undertaking remedial and restoration tasks—such as joint repairs, polymeric sanding, tarmac restoration, or surface sealing—we are working upon pre-existing installations where the original sub-bases, foundations, or materials may already be compromised or degraded. Consequently, we cannot warrant or be held responsible for the longevity of these restoration treatments if underlying structural movement, sub-base failure, or natural wear causes subsequent cracking, joint breakdown, or surface deterioration.

8. Weather and Postponement

Exterior cleaning and treatment are heavily dependent on weather conditions (such as heavy rain, high winds, or freezing temperatures). We reserve the right to postpone a booking at short notice if conditions are unsafe or would compromise the quality of the work. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule the job for the earliest available date without penalty to your deposit.

9. Waste Removal and Disposal

  • Residential Properties: All organic debris removed during the cleaning process (such as moss, weeds, and surface detritus) can be left on-site for household disposal or garden use. Alternatively, we can bag and remove the waste from site for a fee of £8 per half-bag (utilising standard 50-litre rubble sacks).

  • Commercial Properties: Waste removal and disposal from site are fully accounted for within the standard quotation unless explicitly stated otherwise. For larger projects, the cost and arrangement of commercial skip hire will be agreed upon prior to commencement.

  • Environmental Compliance: As a registered waste carrier, any waste we remove from site is transported and disposed of lawfully in accordance with UK environmental regulations.

10. Use of Photographs

  • We may take before-and-after photographs & videos of work carried out.

  • These images may be used for marketing or promotional purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
